As we have discussed previously, the pallet is a widely reused piece to make different furniture like sofas, armchairs, panels, beds, tables and more. In addition, it can be found at open fairs, supermarkets and stores or can be purchased at a very affordable price - around R to R per piece - to be dismantled and treated according to the project you wish to do. With the pallet table is no different and there are several applications for the part beyond the traditional format, as we will try next:
Advantages of a pallet table
There are basically 4 models that can be mounted with the pallet: the low or high coffee table, the dining table, the office desk and even a sideboard. Now if you are a fan of a D.I.Y (do it yourself) and want to do at home, your cost will be even lower! It all depends on the model, your skills and tools available.

How to Make a Step-by-Step Pallet Table (DIY)
Learn in this super-cool tutorial from the Joyce Jeffries channel on how to make a pallet table with simple, didactic steps.
Can not see the video now? We did a little transcript with an overview of all the steps needed to set up a pallet table - check below:
Step 1: Choose your table size
As the video observes, the first step is by choosing the dimensions of the pallet table to be assembled (in the example, it is used as a base 52cm by 1.19m).
Step 2: Find pallet parts
It will take 2 to 3 pieces of pallet: although they can be found with certain ease in fairs and stores, one must take into account their state of conservation, since the wood must be in good condition.
Step 3: Remove the pallet
With the help of a hammer, dismantle each piece of pallet you have collected.
Step 4: Cut slats to the desired size
Use a saw or hacksaw to cut the slats of wood according to the size you have chosen for your desk.
Step 5: Screw and secure the slats
In this step, you will need the following materials: bar clamp, base to attach the slats (in the tutorial was used a part of the pallet itself), dough to fill wood, tape measure, screws suitable for wood, drill and sanding or standard sandpaper. The first step is to make the holes and begin fastening the screws, securing the slats to the chosen base. Use the clamp to keep all slats attached and close to each other before screwing.
Step 6: Apply the dough
The wood mass is used to cover natural imperfections of the material, as well as the perforations and screw heads. Apply it and wait 24 hours for the material to dry completely. Use the sander or sandpaper at the end before applying the paint sealer and varnish.
Step 7: apply the sealing ink
Some brands already offer the varnish with sealer, in this case skip this step. Otherwise, apply sealant paint on the wood and allow to dry for at least 2 hours.
Step 8: application of varnish
Apply the varnish to maintain the desired gloss. Remember that if it is to your liking, you can use a different and colored painting instead of this type of finish.
Step 9: Foot fixing
After drying, the feet can be fixed to the wood. There are a wide range of options with metal materials, wood, plastic and others. In this case, you choose the best model that fits your environment, including the desired height for the table.
